The Argos system can be installed behind the press, in conjunction with cut-to-size or after the sander to inspect flooring and other speciality products.  Inspecting edges after cut-to-size will eliminate the manual inspection and re-shuffling of panels with soft edge defects after stacking. Detection of surface and edge defects after the sander combined with accurate calculation of % of skip sand on flooring products will in most cases eliminate the grader. Typical defects will be: spots (resin), broken edges, sander hesitation marks, skip sand, (percent of area), foreign materials, voids and visble blows on edges.
