Argos Solutions core business is engineering, design, and manufacture of Surface Grading Systems and Panel Repair Systems for the wood panel and building industry worldwide.

Our history
Argos Control Was Founded
Argos Control AS founded by Vidar G. Solli in Kongsberg, Norway in 1992. The company started to develop a PC based system using neural network technology to replace human inspection in various industries.
1992First particleboard grading system in operation
The first automatic surface grading systems for particle board inspection was installed in close cooperation with Forestia in Norway.
1997Expanding the business and markets to become a global technology leader
The delivery of automatic grading system solutions to several leading wood panel manufactures from 1998 to 2009 marked the beginning of a climb to a world-leading position as provider of automatic grading systems for this highly specialized segment involving all panel products from raw board, furniture and building products.
1998 - 2009The first high-speed panel repair system for plywood
In strong competition with other global suppliers, Argos was selected to deliver the first High speed panel repair system for softwood plywood to UPM in Finland, Europe’s largest plywood manufacturer. The first of many global PRS system deliveries to leading manufactures around the world.
2011Løvenskiold acquire 100% of Argos Solutions AS
The summer of 2015 LV acquires 100% of the shares to further focus the long term strategic development of the company, especially targeted towards the decorative furniture market. Visit Løvenskiold
2015Developing new standards in close cooperation with leading companies
Argos developed a close relationship with some of the leading panel and furniture manufactures in Europe to tailormade new system solutions for short-cycle and furniture production lines.
