The benefits of Argos’ automated grading system align perfectly with AGT’s high standards, allowing the company to uphold the quality its customers expect while streamlining operations.

In October, Argos Solutions had the pleasure of welcoming AGT Ağaç Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., one of Türkiye’s leading manufacturers of laminate flooring, to Kongsberg, Norway. The company recently invested in an automated grading system for their production line.

Taner Kaplan and Çetin Erdal Bağatiragt visited our headquarters, where sales manager Rune Gotfredsen and commissioning engineer Robin Pettersen ran a successful FAT (Factory acceptance test).

The automated grading solution provided by Argos Solutions utilizes advanced image processing and artificial intelligence to inspect each panel in real time, identifying even the smallest defects. The system has v-groove technology which is an advanced bevel edging that helps create a look that reflects the natural qualities of wood flooring.

The Argos system enables AGT to achieve higher production consistency, reduce material waste, and streamline the inspection process. By automating quality inspection, AGT expects to increase throughput without compromising on quality.

For Argos Solutions AS, this partnership gives additional knowledge and expertise in the Turkish and international flooring market

“We are proud to be able to support AGT in their mission on delivering top quality laminate floors to their customers», says Rune Gotfredsen, sales manager for Argos Solutions. “This is a newly developed system but has already proven itself in the field.».

The feedback from our customers is that the Argos systems are less complex, and considerably more streamlined and efficient than other systems in the market. We are also extremely proud of our commitment to provide excellent customer service.

Having installed several systems in this region, we are gaining invaluable knowledge and expertise that benefits the laminate flooring producers, not only in Türkiye but worldwide. Our automated grading solutions bring unmatched return on investment to manufacturers seeking improved efficiency and precision,” Gotfredsen concludes.
